For 26 years, UNCTAD's TrainForTrade Port Management Program has been supporting port communities to make their management more efficient and competitive through its three linguistic networks (English, Spanish and French) of partner and member ports in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Goals
The workshop will aim to teach participants to:
- Prepare for the dissemination of the port training program;
- Disseminate group and individualized training using validated material;
- Evaluate the results of a training and prepare a dissemination report.
Participants
The educational seminar is primarily aimed at future Djiboutian trainers, but will also be open to participants from other member ports of the French-speaking TrainForTrade network, with a maximum of one participant per port entity member of the network. Current trainers may also request to follow this program again in order to update their pedagogical knowledge. It will take place over a period of four and a half working days and will be dedicated to traditional and distance course delivery techniques. Educational material validated by the TrainForTrade methodology will be used.
